2 qt water
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup honey or agave
1 slice 3 inches or more of fresh, peeled ginger, sliced
6 cup fresh orange juice
4 cup pear nectar
1 L bourbon
2 whole lemons, thinly sliced
In a large saucepan, combine water, fresh lemon juice, honey (or agave) and sliced ginger.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
Strain into a large bowl, let cool - retain the ginger for serving.
Add 6 cups orange juice, pear nectar, bourbon and lemon slices.
Refrigerate for up to 6 hours.
To serve, shake with ice and pour over ice cubes in tall glass, with pieces of ginger and a lemon slice.
