Your delicious American Apple Pie.


2 cup flour
10 tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar
2 whole egg yolks
1 whole large Rome apple
2 whole Granny apples
3 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp raw ginger
1 whole egg yolk mixed with splash of milk

In cuisenart: Whip flour, 10 tbl.
butter, 1/3 cup sugar and lemon zest of 1 lemon.
Add egg yolk and drop of water.
Butter pie dish.
Roll your pastry on floured surface, 1/2" full, 1/4" thick.
Put your piedish in fridge and other 1/ Quarter the Rome apple and cut Granny apples into eights.
Toss apples in small pan with sugar, lemon zest, ginger, dried fruit and 1 tablespoon water.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Cool completely.
Egg wash the pastry rim.
Rollout (or grate) the top crest.
Egg wash top.
Make a couple of incisions and nake 45-50 minutes.
